I would highly recommend the following Harvad Business Review articles to people interested in IT entrepreneurship. Author: Alexander Galitsky.
It is obvious ex-USSR region is a great ERP market. For some time main competitors keep parity and now MSFT decided to pass to the offensive. Well, this seems to be captivating.
I hope I will have a chance to try the Security Development Lifecycle in practice. At last the project has become ready for STRIDE analysis.

Thanks for video streaming that is available on the site: http://forumspb.com/video.html
I believe this is a very nice way to engage many people in the forum who cannot directly participate in it.
Besides, the opening session was quite fascinating. Known personalities talked about global challenges and the ways how to overcome them. I hope the forum will have success.
"For attractive lips,
Speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes,
Seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure,
Share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair,
Let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.
For poise,
Walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.
People, even more than things,
Have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed,
And redeemed; never throw out anyone.
Remember, if you ever need a helping hand,
You will find one at the end of each of your arms.
As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands;
One for helping yourself, and the other for helping others."
Peter Druker said: "For a long time there is a discussion of delegation in management. Some people believe manager should give part of his responsibilities to others. The results are not so impressive. The reason for that consists in the way delegation is implemented. It is quite often delegation means someone does work of another. This is incorrect. Everybody gets payment for the job he is responsible for..."
And the joke: "The only employee is always available - universal uncompetitive employee !"

Although the new version of Dynamics AX 2009 will bring a number of developer extensibility features including ASP.NET and AJAX support, deep Sharepoint integration, I don't think it is enough to get a niche on the ERP market where SAP and Oracle are so strong.
Microsoft needs for a quite different technology and integration level. Well then?
See here .
SAP's decision to delay the rollout for its Business ByDesign on-demand software should comes as no surprise but could prove a boon for software as a service vendors according to analysts.
The company aimed to have 10,000 customers on the enterprise resource planning tech by 2010, generating $1bn in revenue.
But recently the company extended this target by 12 so companies specialising in on demand applications can use the SAP delay to further establish themselves in the medium-business market.

I agree with J. Zachman:
"Software architecture requires actual work. We keep looking for the "quick fix," a technological solution, a tool, a package, a new processor, the perennial "silver bullet." We wish we could simply throw money at the problem and have the pain go away.
This is simply not realistic. We have been looking for the "Holy Grail" of technology solutions to enterprise problems for forty years and are no closer today than when we first started. In fact, I might argue, we are even farther away."
